My favorite section (2) of the route!! Includes Bethel Ridge and Umtanum. Don't take the bypass or you'll miss out. First section of the route in August was pretty good. The view of the mountains were the best. Shouldn't be overgrown at all.

Not sure what the snow levels will be at that time of the year or if most of the deadfalls will be cleared. I'm thinking you'll need a chainsaw that early in the year. Keep an eye out on the blogs. You still need to think about rain as well in May.
