dot_tom what made you get rid of the 35 inch KM3s? I just installed 295/70R17 KM3s and love them but can’t help to think I should’ve gone 35s. Of course I would’ve had to regear. I don’t feel much of difference in power from these and my 275/70R17 KO2s.
Ran some trails at Windrock Saturday. Friend from Chicago (@forfunr) came to buy one of my rear bumpers and we hooked up with two of my local buddies on 35s to show him a good time at Windrock. Couple pics.
I had them meet me at the local Starbucks.

Pictures of people taking pictures. Oh the orange one is on TC long travel and a crazy king setup, 4.88s arb locker up front. It’s pretty crazy. First guy I met with 35s.

Two things. 1. It always rains when I go wheeling. That’s why I went with MTs. 2. Windrock has an app that shows you location on the map and all the trails. Helps navigate the 72,000 acres.

You sell rear bumpers?
I build an upgraded version of the Coastal Off Road high clearance bumper. I build them for Tacomas and 4Runners. I get the bumpers from Brandon at Coastal minus the heim joints and I have sourced an improved locking hinge setup that I add.
There were a few factors that led me to going back to 295/70 KM3. I agree, they are small in 295/70. I went wheelin' with two guys Saturday that have 35s on their 5th gens and it's making me want to go back.
The key is running fiberglass fenders, 3" lift and 1" body lift to make it easy. That's how these guys are set up.
I would want to mod my OEM fenders, maybe a .5" body lift at most, and tub the wheel wells to do it right.
I run 4.56 gears and would suggest 4.88 if you plan to go 35's.
Also, carry extra outer tie rods and front axles and you have no worries. Or just don't wheel hard.
You could also go with a 315/70r17 KM3 and those are smaller height and width than the 35x12.50.
Very nice looking group, I'm sure yall had a blast, what happened to the orange 4R's snorkel, was that a delete?
We live in West Chicago, Il which is south of that area on 59. I'm a loyal Royal, but definitely support the Cubs as my second team!
Rock Chalk!!
Any idea what the headlights are going to run once released?
Looks like $1150. Feel free to PM me for a discount code![]()
