I'm going to say under. I don't think it will get as close to sale numbers from 2018 because it's more or less the same vehicle. And with 2020 out with carplay and other new creature comfort upgrades, people will likely go for 2020 now.

Wow. I haven't looked at the sales numbers for quite some time. Looking at them, I don't see why Toyota would be looking at a 6th gen release for a few years. Coming up on the 10 year anniversary this week of my 5GA bought in a bright red month (Jan '10).

Oh I have them. Since admins of this board don’t want to address the fact that IP banned an entire AFB for some unknown reason, it’s difficult for me update here.
I’ll try and do it on my iPad later.

Couple of things:
- I broke down and emailed corporate about January's numbers. They responded quickly and said they’re moving to quarterly publication. He did offer to put me on the monthly email list (yay!).
-I asked about historical numbers for the missing 1984-1993 years and he got them for me as well! This is now a definitive list for US SALES OF 4Runners.
- Lastly, I’m in the process of updating Wikipedia and have uploaded my spreadsheet there. Asking other editors which route they’d prefer to see on the talk page.

Thanks for maintaining this Ryan! It's great to have this information handy.
Looks like sales are staying strong for 2020! Feb was one of the best months for the 5th gen ... and then understandably sales dipped March-April. But very strong sales in May as States began to reopen.

Yep, May is when things started to loosen again in a lot of places. I bought mine in May, and I've been seeing a LOT of new 4Runners with dealer placards and temp tags on the roads in the past few weeks.
I wonder though how the factory shut down earlier in the year will affect ongoing stock levels. Things might dip a bit once inventory gets depleted if they can't get new trucks on the water and into dealers soon.

I to am curious about their shutdown, although they weren't shutdown for long. I suspect there is plenty of stock already. It is also interesting how sales have stayed so strong for a 11+ year old platform
