Trying to underdstand backspacing and offset

I have an absolutely stock 2005 SR5 4WD and I have located a set of the 17" eight hole FJ wheels. I am running the 17" factory wheel with what I assume to be the +30mm offset, utilizing stock tire size 265/65/17, is there going to be any issues with installing the 17" FJ wheel with +15mm offset, and keeping the stock tire size?

You will be fine, you won't even notice the extra half of an inch of so. I went to a 9" wide wheel with the same width tire but with a -12mm offset and am fine. Don't sweat it at all.

So just to confirm before I pull the trigger on some wheels. But the 8 hole 17inch wheels off a 2011 FJ will fit my 265/70/17 tires and won't effect anything steering component wise/suspension?
 
So I am wanting to upgrade from my stock '06 sport rims to some new rims. ive currently got the toytec 3" lift and have some 275 70 17 copper tires on the original rims.

if i get new rims that are 17" x 9 what should the offset be? according to posts in this thread the OEM rims are +30mm so do i need to get as close to that as possible.

the rims i am looking at offer 17x 8.5 +14mm, 17x9 +02mm, or 17x9 -12mm
so which ones would be best and does the width of the rim matter as i want to just put my current cooper tires back on these for the time being.

Any of these should work with your tire size, don't know your suspension setup though. If you're ever going any bigger go more negative.

The center of the wheel IS the centerline.
The mounting surface of the wheel being either inboard or outboard of the centerline is offset/backspace.

The center of the wheel is the centerline of the wheel. The mounting surface of the wheel can be either same as centerline (no offset) or closer to the inside of the wheel or closer to the outside of the wheel, either of those conditions produces offset.
