Is there a need for cup holders on the 96-98?

Errors can happen with anything, and how they are handled is what matters. bhicks emailed me back immediately and said a new one will be on the way. That’s good customer service right there. Thank you.

I have not been on here in a while but felt like I needed to post a comment. This forum seems to get info out to the 3rd Gen community better than any other place I visit. Over the last few years I keep getting a request to make a double cup holder for the manual tranny console. It used to be a request/email I got every couple weeks, then once a week, then a few times a week, now it's almost every day. Trust me when I say this; I tried to make a double cup holder for that console. Unfortunately there is just not enough room with the movement of the tranny and t-case shifters. It was a serious challenge just making the single cup holder for the 3rd gen manual tranny console. I went through a ton of prototypes until we have it in a spot where both shifters cleared the cup holder and cup above it without hitting the dash. It's tight but works, is fully functional, and clears everything. You guys don't have to keep asking for a double for that option. I'm being fully honest when I say, I can't do it. If you want a double cup holder then the one that mounts to the back of the console would be your only option. It's actually accessible from the drive seat and YES it DOES allow the rear seat to fold down. That's another questions I get a few times a week. Here are a couple pics of the single cup holder for the manual tranny and the rear cup holder. Here is a link to the 3rd gen product line

For reference this is the double cup holder for the auto tranny and we have one in the 2WD and 4WD console configuration.

May I ask what 3D printer you are using?

We have quite a few different brands. Over 70 machines on 4 different assembly lines. We have Airwolf Axioms, Flash Forge Creator Pros, Qidi X-Max's, even some old Makerbots, and a few Creality Ender 5 Plus'. There are also a few random individual machines we tried over the years that got put into production. The Airwolf Axiom are the best machines BUT cost the most up front and cost the most in parts to keep going. The best machine for the budget friendly person would be the Flash Forge Creator Pros. They are very inexpensive and extremely durable for their price range. We have around 20 of them on the production line.

Being Black Friday I'm getting flooded with emails asking if we are running "Black Friday Specials". Unfortunately we are not running a black Friday specific promo BUT the forum discount of 15% is still in effect until the 1st of January. Coupon code "TEQ15". Right now the promo only works on our own website BH3D Printing We had to cancel it on Etsy and Ebay. We have done everything in our power to fight inflation within our business and get as creative as possible to not have to increase prices and so far we have not done that. The good news is that we have not increased our pricing this year. The bad news is this inflation is a loosing battle on our end. We will be forced to increase prices around 10-15% as of January 1st 2022. Here is the link to our site, etsy page, and ebay product page.

It's been a while since I posted here but figured it was time for an update. Over the last few months there has been a VERY common trend of the 1st gen Tacoma guys buying our 3rd Gen 4Runner cup holders and then scratching their heads as to why they don't fit. Although much less common but still happening, is the reverse of that with the 3rd Gen guys buying our Tacoma cup holders. The 1st Gen Tacoma and 3rd Gen 4Runners do share many parts but they do NOT share consoles. This new influx and constant exchanges on Tacoma and 4Runer cup holders is getting old. I did find a few threads across different forums where folks gave bad info and stated the interiors were identical. I have done everything in my power to correct that bad info but I realized I needed to just come to the largest 4Runner forum to get out this info. I will be on some Tacoma forums as well saying the same thing. The 4Runner does NOT share a console with the the Tacoma and our cup holders are NOT interchangeable with the Tacoma. For folks interested in the correct fitting 3rd gen 4Runner cup holders or simply want to see more pics then here are a couple links with some pics below.

Wow, people think they are the same? There are a TON of differences on the interior! Keep up the good work, sucks that you have to deal with that.

Sadly, I can see this happening. People do not pay attention at all.:-( I feel bad for the OP and his company. Looks like a great product for the 3gens / Tocumas provided the customer buys the correct ones..:O

Thankfully most of the 4Runner guys seem to know there are major differences but the Tacoma guys don't seem to get it. It only took a handful of folks saying the consoles were the same before the entire community started believing it. Since I posted here and on on a couple Tacoma threads the order mistakes have gone WAY down. Fingers crossed; this will solve the issue.

So it's that time of year again when Black Friday is right around the corner and once again I'm getting flooded with emails/messages asking if we are running any big Black Friday promos. With the cost of manufacturing continuing to go up at an alarming rate and inflation kicking my teeth in, we don't have the wiggle room for big promos. With that being said, we are still running our forum discount of 15% and free shipping by using coupon code "TEQ15" at checkout. We had to cancel that promo on Etsy and Ebay because their seller fees WITH a promo meant we made zero profit. The alternative is to raise our prices but we are stubbornly trying to avoid that if possible. The promo does work on our website since we don't charge ourselves fees. Here is a link to the 3rd Gen 4Runner cup holders. Also on a side note, is there any Surf owners on this forum? I need to find a surf in the US preferably on the East coast so I can make cup holders that model.

Apparently folks didn't read my earlier post about a Black Friday promo. I had 100s of email this morning when I got into the shop asking about any promos today. The only promo we are running right now is 15% off the entire order plus free shipping. Use coupon code "TEQ15" during checkout. We are not running the 15% off promo on etsy or ebay because of all their seller fees. This promo is only available on our website. BH3D Printing

It's almost like there's a lot of people that aren't on the 3rd gen forum. Weird...

I get that most folks aren't of forums but the emails I was addressing here read something like this, "I saw your cup holders over on t4r.org. Are you running any Black Friday promos?" I would say around 1/4 of the emails/messages read something along those lines. I figured one post would deal with close to 25 emails. We are swamped with orders right now so the less time I deal with "black friday" emails the better.

Thanks for running this promo and also glad I ran across this thread. I've got a 98 5 speed and had been looking at the 2 cup model for a while but never pulled the trigger. Good to know that I can only fit the 1 cup model on my car. Order placed, can't wait to finally have a solid cupholder that will hold my coffee mug.
