Octanejunkie's T4R project - 99 SR5 4WD 5-speed

I'll be selling my 2WD soon if you want to get her a well-maintained, rust-free Jade Mica green CA 4runner with an Aussie Locker...

Tempting, but your about a 30 hour drive from me. Although, Ive never been to California. Good excuse for a vacation.

Depending on your timing, I could hold it for you before advertising it locally. I'm a few weeks away from selling it, anyway

Thanks any, but my wife isn't going let me spend any money for awhile. Apparently Ive spent too much the last couple months, LOL

Congrats! A couple years ago I was able to pick up my 99 sr5 4wd 5 speed and have been absolutely loving it! Good luck with yours!

What does that mean?

Political statements.

California has the most diverse natural beauty in the entire continent. Nowhere else can you enjoy a beautiful coast with beaches, high mountains over 10,000 ft or more, visit the lowest place on earth and explore the desert, or enjoy the tallest and oldest trees in the world.

I've lived here for over 30 years and I'm yet to see it all (and drive my 4Runner all over it).

Anyway, to add something constructive to your thread, I also like the self-wrapped steering wheels. I bought a leather kit someone on here recommended and it looks and feels great. Actually, that might have been your recommendation!

I have a spare one of these I can send you, or you can order one yourself: Amazon.com: LemonBest Universal Pu Leather Car Steering Wheel Cover Anti Slip Auto Car Stitch On Wrap Cover 15 : Automotive

I removed the wheel from the car and installed it at the dining room table. Much easier than sitting in the car.

I was waiting for you to catch up here, habs

Been following your build for years and will be implementing many similar mods.

I didn't expect to find this rig so soon after starting my search but I knew I had to grab it when it came up

I've been watching for your new project, but somehow missed the party and even on my birthday no less.
I got older and cake (it was a very good cake) but you got the cool new Toy. :biggrin1:

The great aggregate of 3rd gen mods are....addicting.

Also, I think I heard a clunk?
