I've been slacking on the updates. It's nice a couple people noticed.

Lots of people appreciate the work you do! It is also great that it is out there in places other than the forum for people to find.

Yeah, because who knows how much longer this site is going to last. It's getting pretty quiet on here. Thanks!

Rear Dome Light Repair
Hey Dudes,
If you're rear dome light has stopped working, it may very well be a problem with the switch in the hatch lock mechanism. The switch inside the lock is what tells the dome light to turn on and off based on the position of the lock.
This video shows you how to remove the locking mechanism from the rear hatch and separate the halves of the mechanism so you can access the switch to make the repair.

this is an EXCELLENT resource. Thanks for all the research.
new member here. its disappointing to see remarks to the effect that the site is 'dying'. what can be done about that?

I'm glad you appreciate our video library. You're welcome.
The site has been in slow decline for many years. There use to be a ton of regular contributors but that list has dwindled down. There was way more engagement, discussion, and sharing of information and ideas when this forum was at its height of popularity. It was much more fun to be a part of. I don't think anything can be done to bring it back to what it use to be. People move on and social media has had an effect.

Fiberglass Fender SICMODS
Fiberglass Fender Install on a 1st gen Tacoma - this is also virtually the same exact process for a 3rd Gen T4R.

Looks like they did, luckily - go back and delete the quoted post in your reply to avoid someone clicking on a link they shouldn't...

I am stumped
I have a 97 Limited 3.4 Auto 296k miles
I have an issue when trying to take off from a stop.
Plugs and wires are new
New fuel injectors
New plug coils
New fuel filter and screen
Ideas?
I heard it could be the throttle cable, piston rings, or tranny issue
Someone on here must have experienced or heard of someone with the same issue

98 4Runner idle bouncing (650-850) no codes sounds like vaccum leak
Have a 98 runner not to sure why my idle is bouncing from 650-850 rpms. sounds like a vaccum leak but not to sure where it could be coming from. What spots should i check and i am also wondering if i should clean throttle body and iac valve.
