3rd Gen 4Runner Push Button Start System
Hey guys, I'm a member on TacomaWorld and came across a very talented electronics guru who has created a system for the 2nd Gen Tacomas (and others) that allows for push button start. He is currently working hard to go a step farther in making a completely keyless/fobless entry that will unlock and lock the system as you approach or leave the vehicle. Amazing! He has a few different kits already ready for them.
I have made a post over there to show some interest in a kit for our 3rd gen vehicles. He stated he can make any kit provided he has the time to check out the vehicles electical system. So with that said we need someone to get this going for us. It doesn't matter if we have 1 person or 1000 people interested, he will still make a kit. He needs someone to spair a little time to check things out and might even reward the guinea pig with a large discount. The systems are very affordable and easy to install.
He lives close to Deston, FL. If you're interested and have some spair time please follow the link to TacomaWorld to get in touch with him. You may have to register if you haven't already.
Here is the link

If you have any thoughts or question feel free to post up. More interest the better!

Wish I was closer, I would definitely be the guinea pig. And dammit if my parents didn't leave for Destin this morning...I would have given them my runner to take down there!
I fnothing else, maybe he can create a how to with parts list, and one of us can work on it. I don't see the parts being too expensive, just the time it takes to put everything together.
And it'd be cool to have this as your "on" button...

Just head down so he can get started. I'm sure he'd be willing to sell you one at a discount when your ready but youd get the research out of the way for the rest of us. I'd even ship you a 6 pack of beer when you do

I believe it is illegal to ship alcohol across state lines.

Yeah I bit the bullet and bought sponsorship, I build custom roof racks, there are a few threads on here with photos. I like the sound of push button but its one of those things that would be cool to have but after so many years of turning a key, it might hard quit lol.
