Painted lower valence and it looks too good
I did my fender flares last year with some bumper coating which came out great but a little flat for my tastes but it has held up to some abuse and a full winter but needs more black and my valence came out like I wanted it. I will be adding the Tacoma rubber strips to my flares so if they come off again I'll repaint them with the Trim Paint. Will be painting my "bacony" plastic piece on top of the bumper today.
Here's the pics. The new paint does show existing scratches in the plastic but still better than before.
Before
Used this stiff after cleaning with prep spray and a couple coats of adhesion promoter.
And the results
Will look better once I get everything cleaned up and waxed.

That did come out well, did you just mask everything off or did you remove the valence to paint it?

I was easier just to remove the signals and tape it up and paint,it probably took me a couple of hours but it was an easy job. The flares are worth removing for painting by far.

Did you add a clear coat to it, or just leave the trim paint on top? I am going to do all my flares this summer, and after seeing the results from this I will use the same paint. Looks good.

Nice. Nothing ages a car more than faded trim and paint. Looks great!

Looks good man! I re-did mine in the spring, using Plasti dip and some clear coat. Turned out pretty good I must say!
Let us know how durable your setup is.... pretty sure it will be tough though!

Ok,got the little top bumper piece done and it does look a little better matched to the flares but still will repaint them when I get the rubber trim.

Why would it flake off,it's the same paint I used on my scoop insert and that was painted 2 years ago and is fine. I'm a little concerned since it's a mass of plastic but I think it will hold fine.

For those who might have been wondering about longevity of the paint job it's been 8 months and looks like I just did it and my flares have been flake free through two winters so far. The scoop was painted differently and has showed some signs of flaking so I'll be redoing the scoop the same way I did the bumper this spring.

Yours looks great...
I did mine with rattle can bedliner.
Lots of prep work, and a steady hand... Three months later, it still look great.
