?? Weight of 4runner vs tacoma

I there a big weight difference between the front end of a tacoma and a 4runner of the same generation ? Curious because King offers oem replacement coilovers for the tacoma and not the 4runner, yet they will fit both. Wondering if the spring rate for the tacoma will be too much for the 4runner. And have not been able to find out what the spring rate is on the oem replacement from king, anyone have an answer to this ?

I was pondering the same thing. I was going to call one of the other shock mfg and see what valving and spring rate they run for the their 4Runner setup then compare to Kings Tacoma setup. But post up and let me know what you find out. I'm waiting for the Leduc swap meet to hopefully ind some wheels, gps, shocks, race radio and tires.

I want a softer spring and valve the shock to do the work, thinking a 550 lb spring. Can not find spring rates for king or fox anywhere. Called downsouth motorsports, and he could not tell me. huh.

I have a old roadmaster race radio if you need, it will not die and has served me well, but you need to pre program the channels. If you want a radio you can program on the fly, look at the icom v8000, good radio that will live and not give you grief, and they are descent price. I have the same lowrance gps i have had for 8 years and i love it. got it at pci.
