Oil cooler O-Ring and Seal Replacement Video and info thread

I wanted to get this posted ASAP. I'll finish it over the next day or so with detailed information.
I had a leak on my oil cooler and wasn't really sure what to expect replacing them. I looked around and didn't see any photos or other guides. So I wanted to share my experience in replacing these. Really just dove head first into it. I'm not a huge gear head, but I do enjoy learning about my 4runner.

I'll post more links and things I learned that I didn't mention in the video. This is my first go at this sort of thing. Figured I owed this site something for all the great information I get out of it.
Oil cooler bolt torque spec is 43ft-lbs

Pretty good video bud, helpful indeed! I did mine a couple weeks back, luckily I didnt have to remove the coolant lines and such, took a little patience but got it done in 15 mins

how much oil came out? i need to do this but am not draining coolant, oil, etc. i'll do it when i change the oil again, but not before.

If you don't drain the oil I would imagine you would lose half your oil when doing this. That is to say, I don't think it is reasonably feasible to do it without draining at least your oil. So wait until your next oil change.

You can probably do this without removing coolant lines and thereby not losing any coolant. One of the things I'm going to add is that one of my lines had a significant amount of grime blocking the hole. I was able to remove most of it that I could see. Who knows what's left inside though.

There is no way I would have been able to complete this without removal due to the O-ring being so difficult to remove. It was hard and came out piece by piece. You are lucky!

Yeah it was a bit annoying but luckily I had a lift at the shop which helped and the right size wrench too
