What are you doing. Auto to manual swap?

Same concept applies
Repinning an auto harness for use with a manual ECM

Google is amazing.

I did it with my 96:
post 3327 - 3329
https://www.yotatech.com/forums/f200.../index167.html

How-to for changing the pins with pics and a couple of drawings of the wire arrangement.
brn(blu on 99)/yel/blk/wht, white never changes position
You may already know- when you clean the newer style maf be aware the 2 tiny delicate wires are down in one of the holes, not easily visible like the early version.

So many write-ups have helped and inspired me throughout the years, I hope their authors feel as good as I do when it helps someone else out. Life would certainly have been a lot harder without their hard work and sharing.

I drew those pics and that is my hand that you've chopped to bits. Didn't know you were going to do that to them.

Here is the 96's wiring configuration:

And the 99+'s wiring configuration:

And the newly repinned 96's connector:

Also, I am not a guy.

For the 96 non-supercharged engine fuel economy and power has not changed. The benefit here IMO is the $600+ price difference between the two.

I did a vid... pretty sure this is a dead horse.

the best way is to get the air box and intake from a 99+ everything bolts right up and easy squeezey re-pin. I have been running like this since I posted. no codes at all.

Thank you! By the way I have a new solution on keeping the stock 96-98 box, with a insert tube from another car to make it work! Hopefully once I can get everything together I'll do a quick write up. The main goal is to use the stock 96-98 box and save the guys a headache on chasing down a 99+ air box. All bolt on no change the whole air box required, just replace the old restricted flow maf.

cool good idea. for me it was only a $20 donation to the pick'en pull for everything so that was a no brainer.

Can you explain what this solution is, it's not completely clear. I'm about to plunk down $100 for the whole '99 airbox-to-intake assembly just to get the updated MAF for my '97, but if there's a way to do it while retaining my perfectly good airbox and ductwork, I'm all ears!

Yes sir, you dont have to spend that much. I'm also trying to retain all my 97 intake box. I found my part at the junkyard off a Volvo s60 for $12.00 waiting to order my Denso MAF sensor from rockauto. Here a link for the right up.
