Current Camelback Toyota Part Lead Times

I ordered a new exhaust manifold plus all the parts associated with the job through Camelback Toyota on 10/22. I immediately go an email saying it would be a 2-4 business day delay before they would get the parts in their warehouse to ship to me.

I have a feeling it will take much longer than that, and I suspect with the way things are going that I wont get these parts till mid to late November. Anyone order parts from them recently experiencing the same thing?

No clue, I made the mistake of ordering from Camelback Once, things didn't go well and their customer service when things don't go well, is abysmal (or was in that case).

Why don't you buy from your Local dealer? They almost certainly have an online portal you can shop from, check pricing and contact to see if they'll Match other dealer pricing. Yes, you pay tax but no shipping. You also get to inspect the parts before taking them (mine has called to say they reordered as it was damaged getting to them, and asked me to inspect parts with minor box damage before leaving). And have someone to bounce thoughts off, or double-check part numbers/fitment.

I know Some dealers don't care about the online side, but it's worth checking. I didn't know my local (lol, 2 hour round trip drive, but I'm over there once or twice a month) dealer did this till After my Camelback fiasco. Much happier now.

I agree with this, 100%. I use online stores to get the part numbers then I will check for the numbers on Amazon and if no luck there I will take the numbers to the local dealer and they will order them right up for me. I'm an in person kind of person if I can have the opportunity so it works for me.

I've heard a lot of people saying the camelback days have come and gone. Most people are going elsewhere it seems.

I pull all my oem parts from the local dealer. They are fair with pricing and extremely easy to deal with.

I just posted this reply in another thread…

I’ve probably spent about $3K on parts from McGeorge Toyota in the last 3-5 months. Orders are always precise, they have always provided email responses to part number requests. Other than buying rotors and a radiator locally, I buy every OEM part from them.

The only issue is FedEx. McGeorge is in VA, I’m in CA. FedEx is short handed so shipping times are a bit long - sometimes a week and a half.

I used to order from camelback when they were the place everyone suggested, but their shipping costs are so out of line combined with slow shipping times that I switched to mcgeorge Toyota and partsouq, both places ship fast and partsouq often gets stuff to me even faster despite being in the UAE

No joke, my UAE parts came in less than 7 days. Can't even get things from the east coast in that fast! Partsouq's prices are hit and miss though. Most are super cheap but some parts are actually priced more than other places. It's worth doing a quick check against McGeorge pricing.

Souq means 'market' in Arabic I used to shop at the local souq and get the most amazing foods when I lived in the Middle East for a summer.

The price even if you include shipping was hands down better than the one at my local dealership. For example they wanted 390$ for the manifold while Camelback wanted 250$. My dealership is overpriced.

All in I paid 20$ for shipping which is reasonable when you consider I'm sending an exhaust manifold plus all the gaskets.

Fair enough. And that was through their online portal, not the call-in/walk-in price? I only ask because my dealers walk-in pricing is usually Way higher than the online (tried that once, looked up the PN online, saw the price but there were 2 options so I walked in to ask and promptly walked out again when they told me the price...)

exhaust manifold? My dealer shows $189 for each of the 4 options. (L, R, w or w/o low emissions ~ all within a dollar of each other).

In my area Cobb Toyota has great prices and really good service. They also ship free over $75

I usually cross check with PartSouq and Amayama (though there’s more shipping overhead with those) and McGeorge. Conicelli is also good but they are in PA so far from the CA guys.

Never have used Camelback but some year ago when I shopped them their prices weren’t better than other online OEM.

Might be worth trying Partsouq. Orders come from UAE but have never taken me more than two weeks.

I just ordered a TPS sensor from them, although I do usually order from McGeorge, they wouldn't ship the sensor to WA, so I ordered from Camelback. Shipping was horrendous, but I just got it on Sunday, which was a week from when I bought it.

If I had a f*cking nickel for everytime FedEx shafted me or delayed my package...
I used to use McGeorge every time, but as of a couple months ago now they've stopped shipping to Washington and Rhode Island "because of new tax initiatives"... they couldn't give me more information than that, but I wouldn't be surprised whatsoever if other blue states started following suit eventually, especially west coast. Strikes me as strange California isn't on the list but I would imagine - whatever said taxes were - would be coming down the pipe in the near future for them too.
Just my semi-related 2 cents. Thought it was very interesting

Make the [small] effort to search the web for local/regional dealers that have established online part sales.
After at least 15 years of buying parts from WA, VA,, OH, AZ, TX and other far flung places, a dealer near me (Hamer Toyota) with a large parts department finally started online sales. I enjoy the 20 mile (≈20 minute) freeway drive to pick up parts.
