4' X 8' Sheet of Plywood???????

There is a large gap between the bottom of the hatch door and the area where the latch is located. I took an old unused part that came with a car seat, a top tether mount, and installed it next to the latch mechanism in the door. This should ONLY be used to hold the door down, not hold the plywood in the truck. The metal that it is mounted through is very thin. Make sure you use a large area washer on the inside.
All the parts. I didn't use the rubber piece under the hook loop, it kept squishing out when I tightened the bolt. I used a couple layers of duct tape instead.
The hole in the door, a few inches to the right of the latch. Either side will work, and the left side may be better. Check out the inside of the door before drilling.
A look inside the door. Use a large area washer!!
Finished project. I'll see how well it works soon. One note: It may be better to use a small "U" shaped loop and drill 2 holes so it won't spin around. I think mine will spin, hopefully not enough to do any damage. If it does, I may change it.
