VSC TRAC, VSC OFF and ABS lights on

I have had my VSC TRAC, VSC OFF and ABS lights come on simultaneously a couple of times now. My code reader only reads engine codes so there are no codes on that. I plan to go to Auto Zone to borrow theirs to see what it says.

Anyone had this happen? Any guesses? How much $$$?

I had this happen on my 2006. Codes were for O2 sensors. A buddy is a service manager at Toyota. He told me to swap the gas cap and reset the codes. Worked like a charm.

So, go to auto zone and get a $5 gas cap before you go burning a bunch of dough.
 
Checked the codes... Looks like the front right speed sensor is the culprit.

That an easy swap out? How much do the sensors cost?

same here my VSC, TRAC and CEL lights are on and everytime I get it scanned it shows a bad O2 Sensor I will then change the O2 Sensor and the light will come off then come back on again. I have also tried the Zero Point Calibration with no success.

Sensors are just under $120 OEM. There's a guy who sells the left side ones for $65 on eBay, but that won't work for you. There's Chinese made sensors for like $30 a pair, but that'd be hit or miss.

FWIW, I got the same codes, replaced the sensor, turns out it was actually the harness connected to the sensor. Seems like it a common culprit in this scenario.
 
Yeah... The stealership wanted $240 for the sensor. I seriously laughed at the guy on the phone. I found one locally for just shy of $100. Hopefully it isn't the harness. How much was the harness? How difficult is that to replace?

All done! Swapped out the sensor yesterday. Lights have stayed off since. I will go back to Advance Auto today to have the codes erased.

Piece of cake! ...other than the cost of the sensor

I have this crap going on again!

Same lights, same sensor, same error codes. It was working perfect for a while...

CODES:

C0200 - right front wheel speed sensor signal malfunction
C1223 - malfunction in ABS control system
C1235 - metal stuck to right front wheel speed sensor

I will check on it after work. Maybe this time it is just metal stuck to it. The last sensor I replaced had the same error code and was clean. I figured it just failed. These damn sensors are not cheap.

Anyone else had this problem?

Any recommendations on a replacement sensor? I guess the one I put in was crap!
 
Replace the harness. They connect near the top the the fender well to the sensor. Lot cheaper than the sensors.

Mine went off the other day and it was the brake sensor switch. $180 later and no issues. (Knock on wood)
 
I thought I may have got lucky...

The sensor had a warrantee and I was given a new one for free. I deleted the codes and no such luck... They came right back. You guys are probably right about the wire harness.

How much do those go for roughly? Can I get one at an auto part shop? Or do I need to go to the stealership or online?

It looks fairly simple. Are they easy to swap out? Part #?

I am having the same problem right now..got the sensors replaced twice and now I'm thinking it might be harness.
 
Wire harness ordered... Hopefully this cures it. And... I hope this isn't a pain in the @$$... The harness costs a lot more than it should...
 
Alright... I am getting pissed!

The wire harness was an easy swap out. I erased the codes and the lights came back right as I pulled out of the parking lot.

What the hell else could it be causing those codes?

Does this zero point calibration I've read about have anything to do with this?

I'm getting sick of throwing money at these 3 dash lights!

Anything else I should try before taking it to a mechanic?
