Tacoma front lift on a 4th gen?

Im not sure how extensively this has been discussed on here, but this is just an idea that's been in my head for a little while now. Aside from the theoretical wasted money from rear suspension, what would be preventing somebody from buying say a 6" bds lift kit with fox coilovers and BDS UCA's for a 05-16 tacoma and installing it on a 4th gen or 4runner in general? is there a front end design difference that specifically stops somebody from being able to do this?

I think there was somebody on here that did an FJ drop bracket kit on a 4Runner, or at least talked about doing it.

That's all I know. If I had to guess it should be simple to get it working.

It'll look goofy without 35" tires IMO

Im still stuck on this topic.. I don't understand why BDS can make a 6 inch lift for a 4wd Tacoma with a front end relatively similar to that of a 4runner but there is no option for a 6 inch lifted 4runner... Is it that there is not enough demand from the 4runner community? Or is there something fundamentally different about a 4th gen that I'm missing? I would love to be able to get my 4runner lifted 6 inches even if that meant a 2+" diff drop because I don't offroad a lot, I just like the look....maybe thats just me..?

Well, I can’t speak specifically to that kit, but since the Tacoma Bilsteins and springs are a direct swap, I can’t imagine why that kit wouldn’t work other than having insane CV angles.

***Disclaimer This is more of a discussion thread rather than something that I intend to do BUT
Thats basically my thought process. I mean shocks are a direct swap and BDS sells a kit with a drop bracket to normalize CV angles so one would probably just be wasting a little bit of money on an unusable rear leaf spring block kit
