Swapping in a 2wd steering rack into my 4wd
Hi fellas,
My rack is not leaking but in need of a rebuild so I grabbed one from a 2004 2wd 4Runner with the V8. I didn't check the parts site to see if the part #s match for both vehicles but I don't see a problem with this swap.
Please share your thoughts if you have done this or have knowledge of something I didn't think about.
Thanks.

He did a frame swap with a 2wd frame into his 4wd everything. The frames are apparently the same. If he can go 4wd to 2wd frame, I imagine you could go 2wd rack in 4wd frame.
