So am helping a pal troubleshoot again.
He has an 07 v6 sport, wrecked his engine, and got a used motor of unknown year to replace it.
Used motor was installed, and was extremely hard to start, it would crank and crank, but wouldnt start, was thinking along the lines of camshaft sensor issue, till it finally started, spewed large amounts of coolant all over the place__ the radiator was left open, ran for a few minutes and was turned off.
Subsequent attempts to start it was unsuccesful, it would crank and crank, no start.
While trouble shooting, it was observed that there was large pressure/air build up from the open radiator while cranking..
Does this mean the replacement engine has a blown headgasket, or the replacement motor was hooked up wrong?.
Tried cranking my truck with radiator cover open, and it was calm, coolant was not ejected while cranking
