Hi everyone, I am in the midst of my first noticeable upgrade to my recently acquired 2005 4Runner. This past weekend I installed Bilstein 2" lift springs in the rear, SLEE offroad steel braided brake lines, and Bilstein B5100 rear struts. This has given me exactly 2" of lift in the rear.
This next weekend I am replacing upper control arms, rebuilding lower control arms, replacing tie rods, and installing Bilstein B5100 adjustable struts. It looks like the previous owner put FJ Cruiser springs on the front based on the colros and the fact that they appear to have raised the front about 1" from stock. My question is, if I set the B5100 for 2.5" lift, and re-use the FJ springs does this mean I will get a 3.5" lift up front? If so, will I run into other issues and be better off selecting the 1.75" setting? I am upgrading to JBA high caster arms, but am unsure what else may be an issue and would like a heads up before I get too far into it. Thanks all for any advice you can provide, Here are some pics of this past weekends upgrades.
