Front strut and UCA installation order?

Planning on installing new pre-assembled struts/springs on the front of my 4Runner, using this method by Galactic04:

Mike from Exit Offroad also has a great video using the same method:

I'm considering doing the UCAs at the same time, and if so, I'm unsure at what point in the installation process would I do the UCAs. Anyone have any guidance on this? It seems like you wouldn't want the upper and lower sides of the spindle disconnected at the same time, so I'm thinking you would basically want to do the complete strut replacement, and then the UCA, or vice-versa. Or is there a point in this installation where it would make sense and be simpler to do both at the same time? I've done a lot of searching, but just not too clear on this one. Any recommendations?

What I did was
  1. have everything on jackstands and support the spindle/wheel hub/rotor by a separate jack. I used the stock jack
  2. take out the old spring/shock assembly from the bottom by loosening cam bolts and removing the bolts from the LCA in the spindle. Stock jack under the rotor will keep the UCA and spindle from dropping down
  3. reinstall both of those bolts so suspension is back together sans shock/spring. Keep stock jack under rotor
  4. then remove the UCA and install new. May need to remove some wiring clips in the engine bay. I found it easy to put the bolts back in the original orientation, but some have found it difficult. I think its important to have the bolt head side up and the nut down, so if the nut comes off, then the bolt won't be encouraged out by gravity
  5. repeat in reverse to get new shock/spring assembly back in

It doesn't really matter. I take the upper control arm off first and put it on last so it's out of the way.

Thanks for the replies. I'm probably putting more thought into it than needed.
