09 Crazy Gas Mileage
Live in Florida and just picked up a California 09 4 Runner. Hadn’t checked the gas mileage until today and got 18.7 city driving normally. I was shocked. My 3 rd gen never got that close.

Was this calculated or based on the computer? The computer isnt completely accurate, but isnt terrible
- I used to be able to get around 21.5 on highway. With off road mods and the truck getting older I still am able to get around 19

I routinely get around 20mpg / 400+ miles per tank from my V6. I'm not a lead-foot and have been known to hyper mile on occasion.

you guys must be driving stock 4runners or something..
I'm lucky to see 14mpg on the highway lol. Hard to tell now since my speedo-converter died so my reading is off running regear and 35's, but it's not far off from 14-ish mpg. 35's, giant lift, wide open front with a coastal bumper and probably ~1000lb in added weight aren't MPG friendly I guess.

Perhaps you should switch to MPKs.....
It already weighs a lot, so you wouldn't have to add anything.
