Loud wind / air noise from top of windshield??????

I a have new (less than 2k miles) '08 4Runner sport and I have been getting a lot of wind / air noise whenever I hit 70mph or higher on the highway. The noise comes from somewhere near my drivers side sun shade area and is incredibly annoying. I have taken it to my toyota dealer (worthless) and they first said they wouldn't check it because our speed limit here is only 65mph and the problem doesn't occur until 70+mph and then they agreed to at least have a tech drive it and he found nothing wrong. I want to give the truck back the noise is so annoying. They wouldn't let me drive the rig with the tech to let him hear the noise either.

Any suggestions on what it could be? It's almost like my windshield was not installed properly.

Does the hood wind scoop make an incredible amount of noise that would only be heard on the drivers side?

I am just pissed and want this fixed as it should be on brand new truck.

My '07 had this problem. It sounded like a duck call or something from immediately in front of the rear view mirror. I put masking tape around the windshield and drove it to confirm the noise source.

The process went like this for me. I had to drop it off for 'a day'. (They called me at 10:30A saying it was done.) The purpose of the first 'drop' was to get the paperwork moving. I think the fact I had taped and told him that I isolated the noise relieved me of having to deal with a could not duplicate diagnosis. They ordered a windshield and called me when it came in to schedule the 'fix'. I took it in and the local glass company the dealership uses removed the windshield, resealed it and it's been fine. The service writer told me they did find voids in the caulk. My dealership ordered a new windshield just in case the glass shop broke the one that was in the truck so I was told. I definately got my original windshield back. The parking stickers were still on it.

For me the process was annoying but the fix was real and 100% so I am satisfied.
