Problem with rear hatch electrical, Help

2003 4runner, nothing in the rear hatch works. I was wondering if it has it's own main breaker or if it is simply unpluged.
I just repaced the battery and if the problen is just a coincence.
I am not sure how to remove the rear pannel.
thank, Tim

Do you mean the window and the rear wiper? What about the brake light?

Try using the key to open and close the rear window. Make sure the window is completely closed before trying the wiper - it will NOT work if the window is even slightly open.

If the window opens and closes with your key, try the dash switch again. You may have to cycle it several times.

Hope that helps.

I have a 2008 and the same thing happened to me.... after 3 trips to toyota and around 8 hours of diagnostic they finally figured out it was a failed "fuse block" in the dash.

they tried the fuses, new window motor, and a few other things.

mine was under the extended waranty so it only set me back $100... would have cost over $900 and over $600 for the motor.

hope that helps
