I was hoping to prop up the front of my 2003 V8 an inch or so, to take the rake out of it and maybe just give it a tiny bit more ground clearance. So I bought a set of 1/2" aluminum spacers.
Brought it to my mechanic and he took it apart. Butttt as I guess we might have expected, the studs on the car were too short. He was reluctant to press out the studs as he wasn't sure where/if we'd find a suitable set. So he just bolted everything back together and didn't charge me a dime.
But ... where can we 4th-gen guys obtain longer studs, to use with spacers?
When I replaced my front shocks, I also replaced the tophats with KYBs, which appear to have a longer stud. I purchased two of these to replace the factory top hats: Amazon.com: KYB SM5640 - Mount Kit : Automotive
