Adding thing that says "how many miles left on tank of gas"???

I have a 98 4runner. I was wondering the thing that says how long you have to go on gas and how long youve gone and stuff, is that on the rearview or what? Also, cna I add that to my 4runner? Thanks!

Don't know if you can add it to an earliier 4R or not. The readout/control is on the console just below the radio, not on the mirror.
