Toytec Ultimate vs New - Old Man Emu Lift
Anyone have any experience with this OME setup? It sure is pretty... Considering it vs. the Toytec Ultimate, (what is w/ bp-51?) any feedback or advice is appreciated!

I'm 99% sure that's my next choice (BP-51)....designed around all Toyota components, uses stock UCA's.
Ps...remember to buy the spanner wrench that fits that system!

Depending upon your selected amount of lift, tire, offset, and drive ability (even after alignment...) will determine if you want/need UCAs. This isn't specific to OME and you may still require/want UCAs with the BP-51s.

I was assured by the ARB rep....that the system was designed around stock components and designed to work with them.
Not saying your wrong.... just telling you exactly what he told me, when I asked him what UCA's he'd recommend for the system. He said all OEM equipment would work.

I have the ultimate.
The front springs sagged like a mofo that I needed to have the whole damn thing adjusted a year later.

That seems to be odd. A properly designed spring really shouldn't sag, unless it gets over stressed. Which shouldn't be the case. But then again, you do break things! ;-)

Just FYI, the 4Runner specific BP-51 system has not been released yet according to ARB as of a week ago. The ones that are available have valves that are tuned to the FJ and not the 4Runner. Might want to double check with Toytec, and contact ARB to confirm if you need to. They said it wouldn't be until mid-late March when the 4Runner specific set up will be available. Best of luck.

Then why does every 4runner (hell just about every toyota SUV) lean to one side over time? Why do tow vehicles have the ass end lower than the front?

@ T4Ranger
Wise words. Particularly with this local vendor, they are super nice and very accommodating, but maybe a tad quick to bill a sale. What I was told and what I received were a tad bit different and I didn't notice until I had them bolted on and was storing the crates.

Never hurts to check with the vendor and the manufacturer when you are spending a good amount of money on a major upgrade!
