Puddle Problems...
I've had my 4R for a little over a year now, and I've been having a problem. I live in Florida so we get our fair share of rain. The issue with that is when I hit standing water, the "bow wave" is not out and away from me, it literally just goes straight up in front of me and I drive into it. It's scares the hell out of me because if it's a big enough puddle, I'm blinded until the wipers wipe the water away. Does anyone else have this issue? Anyone have an idea for a solution?

Get a motorcycle. Makes 4Runner rain problems seem trivial.

Go slower. Your air intake is in the front right fender - even a small puddle at high speed can ruin your day

You can't be serious...
Solution? Slow down or get a really low front air dam.
Why it happens? Because the 4runner is designed to have a decent approach angle for climbing hills. Because of that when water is hit the same angle of approach is the splash angle of water.
You can't have it all.
Slow down.

I don't know why every one is being such a dick. The solution is to increase velocity. The trick is to hydroplane over the puddle and not displace the water. A little more speed and you'll be gliding across those menacing puddles effortless and cleanly.

You probably need to put a disclaimer in your post lol. Someone will take it seriously.

You should go faster. The water will be propelled over the roof, missing the windshield entirely.

See what happens when I come in peace with an actual legitimate problem? You guys jump all over me! You guys are bullies! Haha I am being honest though. I'll take a video or something and prove to the T4R court of judgement that it's a real problem for me.

I find it ironic in that the last 7 years I've been here, I have never, ever seen, read, or even remotely experienced a post as asinine as this...and we're the "dickheads"???
I'm going to take a stab in the dark here and guess you're a huge Bernie fan....
