Help with Daystar rear spacers on LE

Normally I do my own work, but I decided to have the pros do my spacer lift and took it to a local shop that does a lot of trucks. I think they put my rear spacers on wrong but I figured I would ask the experts here before taking it back to them. It looks to me that the spacers were put on the bottom of my rear coil.

I think the rear spacers from kit KT09134BK go on top of the springs and are visible once installed. It looks like the coil is flush with the body mounts. It could be the spacer sits recessed into the body mounts but I'm not sure.

Admittedly, I didn't go check my rear end before taking it to them so I'm not sure if there is a rubber bumper on the bottom of the spring from the factory. Or if this is the Daystar spacer I'm looking at. Can someone with a Daystar kit and/or Limited let me know?

Also, if it is in backwards, does it need to be changed? Or is it inconsequential which side of the spring the spacer is on?

I am laughing, but it is not funny. Amazing. Yes, they are installed incorrectly. It absolutely needs to be corrected. Needs to be rotated 180 degrees and placed on top along with the bump stop. Be sure they place the flat, top part of the spring at the top, and that they properly clock the bottom of the spring. It is obvious (to some!) how they should go, there is a notch. The instructions are on the damn website! Amazing.

For sure incorrect. I just installed mine about a month ago, if they would have looked at the directions they would have seen that they belong on the top of the spring..
If they messed up something this simple that is in the directions, I would reconsider having them work on your truck.
 
They had the directions!!

I was going to install them myself so I bought the kit. Instructions were included. I called to see how much they would charge since they do a lot of trucks in the area. They said $100 so I figured I'd let them do it.

Now I wonder if I should just do it myself. It seems like a waste of money to have paid them and now just do it myself, but I'm not sure I trust them now.

At the very least, I'm calling them Monday to let them know so they don't have a repeat performance.

I wouldn't eat the cost of them doing the job wrong. I would either 1) Make them fix them or 2) Get a refund and do it yourself.

I probably would have just done it myself to begin with because this kind of stuff (good money down the toilet for crappy work) drives me nuts.

Man in this situation and given a low dollar amount, I'd call and ask for a refund. I suspect they'd rather give you the money back versus fixing it. If you can do it, you should.
 
Glad you had the fortitude to check. Many people assume when they take anything to the "professionals" it will be done correctly. Ughhh...thumbs up for not being "many people". [emoji106]
 
I would start the conversation by asking why they installed the bump stops on the bottom. They may have a valid reason. Good catch though, let us know it pans out!
