Yes there are several spots where it cracked the paint and there are dents on a lot of creases that I don't think possible with PDR.

The paint cracks are what will push you into a different category with the insurance, there's no way to get rid of them except to sand and respray.
As for the creases, you'd be surprised, no, shocked, as to what a good pdr guy can get rid of!
Wife had a crease in a body line at the door on her odyssey, it ran right through a 20 or 30 degree tight bend in the body, the guy that removed the dent took about 20+ minutes to get it out, but he did and to this day (it was done about 4 or 5 years ago) it hasn't come back.
As you probably guessed, I'm a big fan of pdr work! If you ever get a chance to watch a pdr guy go at a dent in-person, do it! Its pretty damned amazing what they can do to make a dent go away forever! Its not just pushing the dent in the opposite direction either, the guys that know what they're doing know exactly where to push and tap to get the dent to pop. They not only pop and tap the dent out, but they use their tools to massage around the dent too so that it releives the tension around the dented area so that it doesn't just pop back in once it gets hot or cold.
I've tried it once (neighbor let me try it - on my own vehicle of course!), I thought I was good and popped it right out, then he touched it and the thing popped right back in! :shrug:

Ouch, best of luck. Living in Denver where we see hail with extreme regularity, I am in constant fear all summer of this very situation:smow::rip:

That is a total bummer. We just got missed by a storm with half dollar size hail the other day. Had me super nervous. Hope that insurance takes good care of you.

I feel some of your pain as my vehicle was caught in a hail storm last spring. The roof, hood, and all drivers side panels needed replacing. Cost to repair was $11,000 (Canadian) and was covered by insurance (at no fault).
Take it to a well reputed body shop that you trust and it will be as good as new.

^^^^This! Here in DFW, we've already had three really bad hail storms this year. My Runner usually sits in a P garage all day for my job... But this year is different (for another 10 months anyhow), and my truck is stuck out in the wide-open all day. Makes me cringe just thinking about it...

Oh man, I live in Wylie and we got hit really hard... so hard that a few of our neighbors got hail coming in thru the roof of their house and thru the ceiling...
I actually bought this https://www.hailprotector.com/, but as soon as it came in, no more hail storm...
The OP, I feel your pain man... one of my car got totaled from it... window busted and actually flooded the whole interior... Also didn't help the sunroof was broken too, which was pricey to replace so they just totaled it out.

Yeah this was such a freak occurrence, we've had hail a couple times around here but nothing like this. Getting the windshield replaced tomorrow so I can at least drive it until they get it estimated. Could be a few days since the claims are rolling in from this storm.
