Is it possible to make this roof rack for our 5th Gen 4Runner??

Hello fellow 5th Gen peeps,

So i searched allot for a roof rack that looks the best and has good function for the 5th Ten 4Runner, and I narrowed it down to BajaDesigns and Gobi.. They both make a stealth version of them and they come with a ladder option.. BUT! the ladder is attached on the rear of the rig not the sides... Well for some that want to relocate the time and add some more stuff like Jerry cans and all that... It might get to busy with the ladder in the back, so I was wondering if its possible to make a side ladder for our rigs?? And I also stumbled upon the following picture so I figured I would share it and share my thoughts...





Is it hard/impossible to make the following roof rack for our 4runner???

When I need access to the sides I stand on the rear tire using my slider as a step up. Just a thought on the subject of side access. That is a nice looking rack though. Some have also been known to use a telescoping ladder like they attach to roof top tents.
 
Very good points, the rear tire can definitely be used as a step, yes the reason it caught my attention is because I thought it would look good...

SSO will be releasing version II of this bumper sometime this summer. It’s top of my list; unless the Pelfreybilt bumper is amazing.

I am a new Admin on another site and my job is vetting the new members. In most cases it is fairly ez to ferret out the spammers, but the really smart ones can get through.It is an imperfect world. The ones that do get through generally post a few innocuous posts, before they start spamming ..Mark Edit: I recently caught a guy from Pakistan who's requested screen name was BroncoBill, really?
