RPMFAB is the next round of thieves?

I really hope that you guys are able to find a way around the bankruptcy and get your money or some of it back.

I know in North Carolina once they declare bankruptcy, they arent legally responsible for anything. You cant even sue the owners by name in civil court because everything you purchased was from that LLC.

Bankruptcy is federal law- same in all states. The above is not quite accurate. There is pretty clear fraud here and there are exceptions to bankruptcy for fraud. It will take some work, but if someone is dedicated and wants to spend the money to litigate, the owners will have a hard time escaping free of debt.

Yeah, I forgot to go to law school so I don't know shit from shoe polish, but taking orders with full payments the weekend before you close your doors and announce no product and no refunds seems wide open for civil litigation at a bare minimum, if not some form of criminal prosecution.

I sued a motorcycle LLC over $25k and didn't get a dime back, my lawyer was even able to prove that they had just put duplicates of random parts to rack up the price and all the LLC had to do was submit a new work order with just the parts I had and add more labor to make up the difference. The company has to have records and show clear intent that they never were going to fulfill the orders for any judge to find them guilty of fraud.

I Ordered a rear dual swing arm bumper for my 4th gen. I opened a 30 day claim with paypal. I called them explained the situation and they changed it to a 10 day dispute. On day 10 I woke up to a email from PayPal saying o have been awarded a full refund from PayPal. Everything I’m ordering from now on will be through paypal.

It's not really that hard to see how this stuff happens. If you're running a consistent 3 month lead time with 100% paid up front and then the business dries up or slows way down? Now you're doing 3 months of your normal full time work, but you have little or no cash coming in. Most of these guys have rigged their business so that they can't weather that.

This sounds more like a Ponzi scheme, than a legit business model.

Which is why people shouldn't be pre-paying but everyone has to have the latest and greatest for their instagram lol.

I understand a partial payment to cover some materials, it's the same as paying a contractor to come work on your house. Most require some payment up front. Bad ones require all payment up front.

If a company has good products they should be able to forecast what average demand is and constantly be building that many pre week with a couple in inventory. Problem is people who run companies building car parts are generally good at the building part and not the business part.

And the thievery continues!

Looks like Don Rycroft is set to open another "shop of illusion." RPMSteering.com He's posting his info on Instagram under Donrycroft.

He's a busy boy ripping off people under one company name and failing to pay his taxes, while he's getting ready to open another company to scam more people out of their cash. What a good Christian little boy he is!!

These people and their credibility are on the same playing field as a pedophile.
