Moisture on the hood of my 2020? Maybe I need a ceramic coat?

VERY IMPORTANT---------> After <---------NOT DURING! it rains, I find a lot of moisture on my hood. This usually results in my entire drive being as if I'm driving through the rain because the water comes up from the hood and onto my windshield.

Does anyone have a good method for preventing this? Perhaps ceramic coating the hood?

Park it in your garage.

I enjoyed having a clear windshield all winter long.
Now the bugs are back out and the windshield is covered in bug splatters.

I have a method. It is a tough one, but try to get your rig up to 60-70 mph. It will take some time, and poof, the water will be gone. :surfer:

That works, except the water spots that form behind the hood unscoop. Tried 100mph, still no go. Ceramics will help, but will still spot. Carry a good micro fiber towel and a instant detailer.

I use a propane torch to dry any water on my vehicle. Quick, easy and has the added benefit of killing any COVID19 lurking on the paint.

Turn on your wipers until the water’s gone?

Pick up some speed on a highway and get rid of water faster?

Dry hood with towel, get in 4R, enjoy moisture-free driving?

Park 4R under some form of cover (garage/car port/tent/tarp/tunnel) to avoid moisture completely?

Take a crash course in telekinesis and attempt to relocate rain water with the brute force of your mind?

Shake fist angrily at the sky and curse it for the moisture it releases. Once the sky realizes you aren’t screwing around, make a deal with the sky. You then slowly begin to realize that the sky doesn’t give a shit and it doesn’t make deals. At this point, revisit the previous suggestions above.

I spray down my entire truck with Rain- X.

..but seriously. Like above said, wax the hood and water will bead up and run off much easier.

No, it's not an April Fool's Day post. I'm only talking about the water that's on the hood after the rain has stopped but the water on the hood has not dried. While driving (usually in clear skies) the water on the hood tends to shoot up onto the windshield, and it looks like it's raining on my windshield. So I've got to use my windshield wipers the entire time I'm driving even though it's not raining. I never had this happen on any other vehicle I've ever had. It's weird.

Moisture on the hood of my 2020? Maybe I need a ceramic coat?
