It's pretty common knowledge that automakers tend to follow similar design cues for the respective time. They are trying to sell cars to a population with specific tastes, after all.
That being said, I don't think the 4Runner looks like anything out now, other than a generic SUV from the side.
haha if you ask me the 4runner and landcruiser ripped off land rover and range rover since the beginning of time.. which would i rather own? a 4runner of course
