I Purchased my 03' Sport Edition V8 on 3/14/10 with 86k on it.

The 4runner came highly recommend from a friend of mine and after I test drove one I knew that I had to have one, unfortunetly everytime I went to look at 03-05 model years they kept getting sold before I could test drive them or agree to a deal with the stealership. I learned quickly that the demand was very high, I drove a little over an hour to get the one I have (wasn't that bad).

Starting off the pics are just stock. Currently this is my second vehicle, I have a 2000 Chevy malibu I use for work commute. When that dies or is sold I may have this for a year or two of primary use before it becomes the Play Truck once again. That is when the fun will really begin!

Rear Diff Breather Modification

Just moved my diff breather to behind the driver side tail light. Simple easy mod to get things started, ordered the union from the local toyota dealer ~$8 and picked up 6 feet up hose, SST hose clamps and some teflon tape. The whole mod took me about 1.5 hrs; I took my time and was happily able to plumb it into the trunk though the plastic caps that were located on the frame behind one of the trunk panels.

I removed the caps and cut holes where I fed the hose through, after the completion I sealed any gaps with some weather-proof caulking. The completed job looks really clean where the breather sits. I liked this look better than when people put them next to the gas line. It took a little more time, but I like it better not next to the gas line :thumb3:

Will post some pics of the set-up soon, just have to load them up.

Good lookin vehicle and those were some cool trails. Be careful though because in Maryland they have some stiff punishments for off roading where you arent supposed to be! Stay safe and have fun with your T4R

Just a little mud on the tires, new ones coming soon hopefully:hungry: then it'll be enough of these old baldies :ybrick:

Just got my Hankook Dynapro ATm's
265/65/17 wanted to upsize but the cost to add the 5th was a little to much and couldn't get the other sizes when I found the buy 3 get 1 free at pepboys

They look great!
Fairly smooth ride, not as smooth as the highway tires but that was expected. No road noice, just as quiet as the highways. Above 80 mph I started to notice some road noise and a little bit more vibration though.

Snow Handling: Great! was able to blast through 6" of snow and sloppy roads with unimaginable ease.

Ice Handling: Definitely still slid around on the straight ice patches, but that was an extreme case

Mud Handling: Handled great, very little slippage through deep puddles. The ground was relatively hard packed but was soft/swampy on the surface. No slipping on steep inclines or declines. So far very impressed with their performance as an AT
