If there is one word off advice.
Definitely remove the body. It made the conversion so easy. I did not have to maneuver the engine and tranny in a tight engine compartment. I read people have to uninstall and re-install their V8 several times before getting it right.
Pluses include not having to break the motor tranny up, banging the engine bay or motor, banging up my knuckles, sliding that heavy ass tanny and transfer case under the truck and up into the frame and dealing with the fabbing up an exhaust system from underneath.
