Sharing my install steps for LED grill lights. I wanted the lights to work with my parking lights and found the engine bay fuse box to be the simplest connection point.
I'm using the SRQ Fabrication model with LEDs
If you want to minimize the amount of wire seen through the grill you can tie them up above on the inside.
Consolidate all power and ground wires into single wires for easy routing. I soldered my leads and wrapped in electrical tape instead of using caps.
I did not want a separate switch for the lights so I chose to use the engine bay fuse box. No threading wires through that firewall grommet. Looked way to full to squeeze something else. I'll save that for my s-pod.
Next I took apart the fuse box to slide the LED power inside and add the new fuse. At first I was lazy and disconnected the battery but left it in the car while pulling the fuse box. DON'T BE LAZY LIKE ME! It was and SOB working around the battery and I finally removed it. Save yourself some grief and remove the battery first.
Pop the fuse box cover off (single clip near fender), remove the 10mm nut holding the power cable, then remove the three 10mm bolts holding the box to the engine compartment and fender. After the box is loose, pull the battery cable out and slide the LED power wire through the same opening. Give yourself plenty wire slack so you can trim to fitment. Now reverse it all putting everything back together except for the fuse box cover.
To attached the LED power I used a mini add-a-fuse in the tail light fuse slot. I chose to use a 10 amp fuse for consistency and because it came in the package; overkill for LEDs. I attached the ground to the fender along with the other grounds near the battery.
