jdm headlights on my silver 05 sport

I finally got around to putting these on over the weekend...I have mixed feelings...they look awesome at night because you only see two round lights and people dont know what it is....during the day, I'm half and half on whether I like the black housing or the chrome stock housings.

If I had a black runner, there would be no question, I'd love these....I'm just trying to decide if I like these on silver ;)

It also makes me want to darken the fog/drl housings to match the headlights.

comments? anyone? bueler?

and yes...i REALLY miss my 20" Enkei's :(

with the black headlights, i think it looks better without the vvti / v8 emblems on the front

it actually looks more black in person...its just the camera showing the reflections from the glass of the headlight that makes it look kind of cloudy...i'll try to take better pics

i'm still not sure if i like it or not *haha*..i dont think its BAD but i dont think its right either...something just doesnt sit with me....i think its the fog/drl being chrome that throw it off
 
night shots...kinda cool cuz you only see the round lights instead of the entire housing lit up like the stock chrome ones

My 2 cents.. it looks better at night. With your color truck during the day, it looks a little out of place... too dark for a silver truck. I'm sure it will grow on you though.

I agree...I feel like I have to do something else to make them "fit" during the day time.

Wish I had a black Runner....they'd fit perfect, day and night!

One thing I do like about them is that it makes my 4Runner different from the rest around here ;) now if I could just get my 20"s back on!

Just thought of something.. you know what might help break up the "black".... the Canadian bug shield. I think that would offset the black headlights and complete the look. If you can photoshop it try it. I think it would work.
 
What about beam pattern. If you used JDM housing it should have reverse beam pattern, because they have "opposite side" driving. This means that they have sidewalks on the left side of the vehicle and it should be higher (light pattern) to see people there, but in North America we have incoming traffic there.
 
they look great. i'm actually thinking about getting some myself. i think it will look great with my black paint. today i'm getting all my taillights smoked. i having a local shop here paint them. he mixes black paint with clear coat, and then uses a spray gun. i don't know if i want three coats or two. three coats is like blacking them out. two is like smoking them. my friend did his with three. it's looks good but, i scared it might be too dark for me. i don't want to get pulled over just for my taillights.

the beam pattern is opposite...however, it doesnt seem to blind anyone (I had my bro test it out in his car coming at me and with me behind him)...I dont notice any loss in visibility either. I'd guess it wouldnt light up the side of the road as much...but I hardly noticed
