Wrong.

Illinois' electoral votes, like all other states, will be awarded to the candidate who wins the most votes in THEIR state (except for ME and NE which award one electoral vote to the winner of each congressional district). So Obama will likely pick up all 20 of Illinois' electoral votes. The voters' preference in Illinois will not be usurped by the votes of the entire nation.

What Illinois voted for, along with a few other states at this point, is approve the "National Popular Vote" bill, which would award the Presidency to the candidate who receives the most popular votes in the entire United States. It would effectively eliminate the electoral college. However, it is a constitutional amendment that must be passed by all 50 states so in all likelihood will never become a reality.

That must make me an independent, since I'm driving both a Toyota AND a Chevy with the same truck!

I would like to think of it as the Chevy is driving the Toyota. But, I would be willing to bet that the Chevy is just as much foreign as the Toyota. Feel free to find "Made in USA" stamped on the side of the block and prove me wrong

I believe that says, "Made in Mexico," and or "Made in Canada." Having had 2 Tahoes, I've seen both...

I am in Texas often enough to know that it is the "Republic of Texas." So, if Rick Perry has his way, y'all will only need to put in border guards. No need to even change the name.

I'm pleased. It'd be Nor-Nor-Cal+So-Oregon b/c of Jefferson State. All the quacks out here it's just a mater of time, money, and sincere inclination.

My advice for you: go out and buy some evil black rifles. Buy all you can because I'm not sure they'll be around later when you might have an interest in them (in case you don't already)

ARs
AKs
Maybe an uzi
HK MP5
etc...

Oh, and mags mags mags.
