Is this considered ricing my 4Runner?
So if u know what ricing is then good cause you are probably knowledgeable when it comes to customization. First off I own a 3rd Gen and I love customizing it. Part of what I wanna do but I've been reluctant to do it because honestly, I’m afraid of what ppl will say/think about the idea of a windshield banner that says the name of my Tires (BFGoodrich).

If you have to ask, then it probably is.

If the mod does not enhance performance or functionality in any way, then don't do it. Ex, lighter, stronger, more power, better control etc.
I'm not big on intentional advertising or BIG labels.
Unless you are sponsored or being paid by them
But I get it, if you like it and thats your thing, then go for it.....heck my 4r has a nonfunctional "hood scoop"

People can tell what tires you have by looking at your tires.

This, though I make occasional exceptions like my Satoshi grill.
I guess I'd ask the OP why? Is it BFG in particular or just the look of the banner regardless of what brand? What if you get a terrible set of BFGs and decide to go with another brand next time, are you going to change the banner? But with all that said, it's your truck and your $ so do your thing.

I wouldn't turn my car in to a billboard, but you do you.

I wouldn't call it rice, but I personally wouldn't do it unless I worked for them or was sponsored by them in some way. Then again, not terrible to support brands you like. It's definitely better than people running YETI stickers, at least BFG is auto related.
I get it though, I remember when I was a kid in the late 90s/early 2000s BFG had some awesome ads using vehicles with that banner, and it IS a decent looking logo.
I say go for it if it makes you happy, end of day it's your vehicle.

I would agree with a prior poster, more redneck than ricer.
Edit, if the banner across the top of your windshield said, TOYO TIRES or KUMHO or something like that it would be more ricer. Dick Cepeck, BF Goodrich, Goodyear etc. seems more redneck. Sorry that sounds bad but just an opinion.

I've worked on professional racing teams that have decals all over the vehicles. Because they are from sponsors.
I wouldn't run any decal on a vehicle I wasn't being sponsored for.

Your first mistake is giving a sh1t about what other people think.
But since you asked... I don't like it. It serves no function or purpose unless you are getting paid to do it.
