PSA for Viair 88P Owners (or Anyone Whose Compressor Has a Screw-on Valve) SEE UPDATE

Ran across an excellent accessory for my Viair 88P or any other compressor where the hose screws on to the tire valve. This self-locking, quick release extension, available for $8 on Amazon, is way faster to attach/detach and also features a deflation button.

Update 22Oct23 - I had a chance to use this recently and was disappointed to find that the locking end had come unscrewed off the hose. I didn’t see the little o-ring at first and spent a couple of ticked off minutes trying to figure out why the thing would lock to the valve but wouldn’t seal. Fortunately the compressor was in a bag by itself so the o-ring was easy to find when I went back to see what I had missed. Replaced it and all was good. Planning to solve this with some thread locker.

Also, my 88P didn't come with a case and many reviews that mentioned the Viair case complained about how tight it was to get the compressor, power cord, and air hose back in once it was out. I noticed this Ozark Trail 360 tackle bag for ~$21 at Walmart and it's perfect. The 88P and my Jaco deflator fit in the main section, a small toolkit in the front pocket, and there's plenty of room left.

That's a good bit tidier than my repurposed bike pump hose that I added to my screw-on hose!
I couldn't tell if it's open flow? I thought that was a good idea for the small tankless pumps?
