    2008 SR5 140,000 Mile Service Overhaul?

Re JEL, Sounds like some good advice having ALL the Fluids changed (except Coolant which was done last year) since I'm keeping the vehicle and live in a Climate with a solid 5 months of Winter. I'm also going to have the Serpertine Belt replaced, inspect pulleys, new PCV valve, Coolant Hose...

    2008 SR5 140,000 Mile Service Overhaul?

Hello everyone! This is a great Website and it's always nice to visit here and read all the informative posts. My trusty 2008 SR5 is at 140,000 miles and it's time for a Maintenance Overhaul before Winter sets in. I live along Lake Erie and the last couple Winters have been absolutely BRUTAL...

Balancing Issue with new Michelin Tires

re If the Dealership had the Hunter Model 9700 Road Force Balance Machine then you should get a Spec sheet printed out period. That show's how much each Wheel/Tire is out. I've got "the Printer is Broken" line from a Dealer once and promptly left. I then contaced Hunter and they referred me to...

Sulfer Smell TSB needed for 2008

re Doesn't seem to be that much interest in this Post... Is this Sulfur Smell something many people with newer 4-Runner's are experiencing or has it been discussed way too much in the past?

Balancing Issue with new Michelin Tires

re I can certainly relate to your problem & frustration... Year's back I spent a huge amount of time dealing with idiot's after purchasing a set of T4R Tires at one of these places. Was it worth it to save $100-150 buck's? NO WAY. I did some research and found Gadget's Web Page and my hat...

    2005 4WD V6 4_Runner with 84,000 mi. catalyitic converter failure - Advice please!

re Wow, a total of 4 Catalytic Converter's on the 4th generation 4-Runner's... Following this post I noticed a point came up no one else has expanded on... Someone mentioned IF a Converter goes bad there's usually a reason why. Catalytic Converter's very seldom just go bad on there own. With...

Sulfer Smell TSB needed for 2008

re Hopefully this Post will continue. It's already been Very educational. Our 2008 "SR5" 4-Runner had this odd smell when we purchased it last Winter but it's gotten worse in the warmer Weather. That's with ALL the Window's up also. This is really annoying especially for a higher priced...

    Proper Tire Size for 2008 SR5 T4R 4x4?

We moved up from a 3rd generation Toyota 4 Runner to a 2008 SR5 4x4 Model. Our older 4 Runner took P265 70R 16 Tires with the upgraded Aluminum Wheel Package. The newer 2008 SR5 4 Runner has the Upgraded 17" Wheel package and the Tires seem WIDER then on our older 4 Runner... They are P265 65R...

    NEW TIRE: Michelin LTX M/S-2

re Thank's Shooter. A concern I have with the Nokian's is burning through a set much faster and possibly buying Tires every two year's with the mileage we put on. The Nokian's should do better in the Winter but what about the other 2/3rd's of the year... I'm no Tire expert either but softer...

    NEW TIRE: Michelin LTX M/S-2

Michelin LTX/MS 2's or Nokian WRG2SUV's? It's Tire Replacement time for our 2008 T4R. The Dunlop's have seen better day's... They were scarey on slick road's at 30,000 miles I can't imagine 40K with Winter's along Lake Erie. I've narrowed it down to two different brand's; either Michelin LTX...

Nifty "Extreme Catch All" Front Floor Mat's

Nifty "Extreme Catch All" Mat's It look's like the Pic is up. The slightly darker area on the left Mat is just Water residue after cleaning them off. These are nice Mat's as I said. I recently purchased a pair of Weathertech Mat's and sure wish the ones I'm selling fit our 2008 4-Runner.
