    Intermittent hot misfire help!

He said he replaced the injectors. If that information is not accurate… You could swap injector locations and see if the misfire follows the injector or not. You could also try giving the MAF a small whack with a screwdriver handle, if it is intermittently faulty (like you describe) sometimes...

On-board air for bike tires/toys - fixed mount solution?

You might find an older ARB somewhere like eBay or maybe craigslist For quite a bit less than a new version. The discontinued RDCKA will do what you want except for maybe air mattress for reasons already mentioned here. Mine is mounted inside the rear passenger quarter panel, has been for 10...

    Intermittent hot misfire help!

There’s a procedure for this in the FSM. Possible issues: • Ignition system • Injector • Fuel line pressure • EGR • Compression pressure • Valve clearance not to specification • Valve timing • Mass air flow meter • Engine coolant temp. sensor

A possible solution to leaking axle seals

Additionally while thinking about this job again - if you don't have a press - one option someone might consider is taking the axle assembly out and to a shop to have the bearing swapped - and then having them assemble everything EXCEPT FOR the last ring. The ring can be tapped down with a pipe...

A possible solution to leaking axle seals

Just to clarify, I never indicated the bent axle caused an oil leak. See post 122 (posted again below) My thoughts: Hey there's nothing wrong with ignoring the FSM and doing a job 4 times to try and get it right (on your own car, of course). But really, this entire thread is dedicated to...

A possible solution to leaking axle seals

The point of reference is given. It’s printed in the FSM, it’s accurate, and it works. No grease test needed. :)

A possible solution to leaking axle seals

I had what felt like a wheel vibration that would become more or less pronounced at different times above approx 50 mph. For example I could drive maybe 5 Minutes on the highway with no vibe, then it would just start up for awhile, then smooth out again later. At first it was seemingly random...

A possible solution to leaking axle seals

Did you really just ask how a bent axle would create vibration? You may not have realized that I had already fixed this issue prior to my first post regarding it. The flange runout was 10 thou outside of the limit per the FSM. That was the problem.

Sonoran Steel, Metal Tech, Toytech Upper/Lower Rear Links

I have the SS lower links for 10 years, still holding up great. A few years ago I figured its probably time to replace the original uppers. I found something from Amazon, i think they were like $14 each or something... surprisingly inexpensive (complete upper, not just bushings). So far so...

    OEM or Aftermarket?

I bought a bunch of Moog front end parts including all tie rod ends a about 4 years ago to replace the original stuff that lasted about 180k. 2 years ago & about 15K miles later I had to replace them all again with OEM. Talk about a waste of money/time. You get what you pay for.

cost to replace timing belt + water pump ?

Haven't done it yet. Good post, this is a must-do at the same time in my opinion. I'm not aware that they're prone to leaking, but anything is possible. When I did my TB the first time around 120k, they were not leaking and I did not change them. Now at almost 240k I'll take a look but at...
