    Energy Suspension Bushing Kit

Moog Just wanted to report that the moog sway bar bushings & end links hooked up with no problems. They are a lot heavier than OEM. I was suprised to find the original bushings & end links in fair shape after 135 or so thousand miles. I'll not be doing that service again.

    front sway bar

Moog makes them. I don't have the part numbers handy but just bought all of them for the rear (including complete end links) at O'Reillys.

    Energy Suspension Bushing Kit

How about Moog I know a lot of folks here have more experience than I do and could have answered that. In any case, I discovered that moog has 4-runner end links and read sway bar bushings. The rear end links are part #K90619 (need two) and are 32. each. The bar bushing kit was K90551 and is...

    OEM Fog Lights on e-bay

My 1998 came without the fog (or driving?) lights. However, a guy on e-bay "snappylights" has a few more OEM Hella kits. It has the Toyota switch, mounting brackets, wiring with integrated connectors, directions, zip-ties, & of course the lights with clips designed to mount to our trim. You...

My 98 4Runner engine is toast

The broken rod was the leading theory but I was down a vehicle and had to focus on getting it going again. There was actually a hole about the size of a silver dollar on the front, passenger side of the engine. I dropped the oil pan just to see. It looked like a 20mm canon shell hit the...

Approximate cost of factory installed cd/tape deck?

I may be interested in one that is available as well. Our three CD changer was great until it closed and broke. I 'd like to use a single slot CD player if it's compatable. I don't know if the guts back there connect from year to year or not.

    Energy Suspension Bushing Kit

I just replaced the bushings in our sedan and was impressed with the improvement. Hoping to do the same on our '98 4-Runner, I looked it up on the Energy Suspension web site. They show a full kit for the 3rd generation design up to '97. I did not know that there were many changes to the...

My 98 4Runner engine is toast

My 1998 engine blew up last year while going down the highway with about 120,000 miles in it. I could not believe it bacause all sechduled maintenance had been done. I went to get a salvage engine in my old Toyota 1984 Extra Cab. No one could figure out what hapened.

    Blown Engine!

Well, that's a good point. I bought it at 60K and began maintaining it there. Still, I would have expected a few symptoms before failure.

    Blown Engine!

I had previously put 200K on an 80s Extra-Cab and so did not expect my 1998 v-6 to grenade on the highway the way it did. I hope some old hands can help figure out what happened. I bought it at 60K and had 115K on it last week when it detonated. I used a few helpful guides to do the timing...
