    Why my 4Runner getting hot?

Lately my 1995 4Runner v6 engine gets really hot. When it gets hot, I can hear the radiator boiling and throwing out the anti-freeze to the reservoir container. Any how to troubleshoot the source of this problem? Any suggestion is much appreciated.

    Orange stuff in the radiator

The main question is, where are these "rusts" coming from then? Even if I replaced a new radiator or water pump, it will get like this in about 3 - 6 months. I need to find the source and fix that instead of the symptoms.

Many thanks for the tips. I'll give those writeup some reading tonight.

    Orange stuff in the radiator

I did try to flush and clean it up before putting new coolant in. It's been less than 4 months and it's already yellow/orange again. I don't think the brand new radiator would rust that easily. It's only been two years at most.

    Orange stuff in the radiator

Okay, so I have this 4Runner 1995, v6. I have replaced the water pump, radiator, engine gasket, and I still have those orange stuff (like slush if I leave it too long and not changing the antifreeze often) in the radiator. If this keeps going on, the engine gets very hot and the gasket gets burn...

Unable to start after a week or two

Well, it turns out the remote start is the main culprit in this. It takes a lot of battery juice. Anyway, I use a switch to disconnect the battery so that nothing can use the battery while the 4runner was not driven.

Unable to start after a week or two

I have a v6 '95 4Runner. For some reason if I do not drive this car or do not have it run for 10 minutes or so within a week or two, this SUV will not start. I always haul a battery starter with this vehicle. I did have a mechanic look at it and he said it was the battery. Well, I replaced the...

    No heat from '95 4Runner

I'm sorry if I sounded like was mad. I was not aware that I was mad when I wrote what just wrote above. I was just telling you what I have just done to the vehicle just in case any of those part may have contributed to the problem. Actually, I'm very glad that you answered my question because a...

    No heat from '95 4Runner

I replaced the radiator, thermostat, and water valve. The suv temp gauge does go up to the middle and stay at the middle.

    No heat from '95 4Runner

What do you mean by "operating temp"? I drove for 35 minutes and the air is still warm and not hot.

    No heat from '95 4Runner

My '95 4Runner has not hot air from the heater. The air is warm and that is it. It already cost me close to $300 to diagnose and replace the water valve and I still have the same issue. Any suggestion is much appreciated.

    1995 4Runner overheat

Thanks for the response. I just replaced the radiator and thermostat. It seems to be fine now; however, the real test is when summer comes.
