Once you put the key in the ignition and start the car, the alarm will shut off ..... My '99 doesn't have an off/on switch for the alarm - to disable it, it's got to be disconnected...

When my 4Runner hit 100k, I started using the Valvoline Max Life when I had my oil changed. I've now switched to the Max Life full synthetic -- considering the cost of the oil to be preventive medicine with the hopes I'll see 250k on the odometer!

I've got the regular Silverstars, and as you can see in the comparison photo, yes, they're worth the money, particularly on those unlighted country roads -- and especially during deer season!!! I don't think there's an appreciable difference between the regular and ultra Silverstars..

Toyota told my son his '97 was due at 90k...which is when he had it done. He's got just at 200k now, and had it done at 180k -- every 90k! My wife bought a '98 with 120k on it, and the sticker said it had been done at 110k. My son's '98 was done at 100k, and the dealer said it didn't look...
