Bad pinion bearing does not affect brake wear. In any case I mentioned I already repalced the diff.

I would imagine that something like this would produce constant grinding but like I said it goes away on left turn and is strong on right turn. To the best of my knowledge only bad wheel bearings cause this.

The driver side (L) caliper I received matches the spec (F14), however the R caliper has a F14B casting # which according to google is from a 93-98 Land Cruiser.
