my runner did the same thing took the speedo cable off behind the gauge cluster and sprayed some white lithium grease in it works fine now

i thought it was normal haha i tell people when they ask that there's a demon under the dash and not too complain!!

yeah i just changed it last week still doing it. i was looking at the marlin transmissions for my truck like $1200 dollars!! is there anywhere else i can get one if i really do need one??

lately when my truck gets warmed up whenever im completely stopped its hard too shift into any gear like its hard too put it into gear. but once i get moving each gear slides in just fine. i cant hear any gears clunking or anything when its stuck and i force it into the gear. could it be my clutch??

ok so my 88 4runner has been doing good! but the past maybe 3 days the tranny seems to be sticking in 1st and 2nd gear? not all the time but sometimes when im at a stop i try to put it in 1st i have to force it! and it seems its only when it gets hot??? any ideas thanks
