Thanks. It doesn't sound abnormal. I had a belt go on a Honda before and I know what you mean about no compression. I wonder if there is an ignition module that typically goes bad with these 4runners? I checked all the fuses out and they are ok.

There seems to be no easy adjustments on it and it is ridiculous how hard you have to slam it to get it to shut. Is this a common thing with 4runners? Mine is a 97. :confused:
