    4Runner Light Bar

So I delayed getting the Defiant light bar for quite a while until my lift and wheels and tires etc. had been completed. Then several months ago, after completing these, I went to order the light bar and what do you know, the whole world changed. Defiant Truck Products I am curious as to what...

How to install new CV Axles

I just performed this on my 2004 SR5 over the weekend, and I can assure you that this is in fact not true. I was hammering this thing home, using a very large socket, thinking it was going to bottom out on a lip of some sort, but that never happened. I was way past the original seal location and...

    Axle Seal Replacement = Alignment?

Thanks guys. I'm not touching anything just yet. The drips have stopped, so maybe a few more warm up/cool down cycles will seat the old seal to the new shaft. Feeling hopeful for now.

    Axle Seal Replacement = Alignment?

Thanks jstutz101, I ran across that guide but was unsure as to whether or not disassembling the lower ball joint altered the alignment. Thanks for clarifying. I will use this method. Hopefully I will only be out a little gear oil. Thanks

    Axle Seal Replacement = Alignment?

I am talking about the front axle/cv joints. TRDCal, it's not the axles that concern my alignment, it's my path to them. I assume the best route to them is undoing the lower ball joint, but does this alter the alignment? All of this was replaced during the installation of a lift kit and many...

    Axle Seal Replacement = Alignment?

I just replaced both front axles on my 2004 SR5. With new inner axle seals sitting on my bench, I made the stupid decision to not put them in. My reasoning was, "if it ain't broke, don't fix it". Well, now it' s broke. The passenger side leaked overnight. Can anyone tell me the best way to...

    TPMS for aftermarket wheels

Thanks for the reply 04 4runner. I am certain that mine is working as designed. I have been planning a wheel and tire upgrade for about 6 months now, and in that time I have been postponing patching a hole in one of my worn out tires. Every 2 or 3 days, the light comes on the dash telling me...

    TPMS for aftermarket wheels

That does help superman. Thanks. I was hoping that the TPMS would just swap right over, but wanted to make sure. I didn't want any surprises at the tire store. The sticker shock is already going to be enough of a surprise. Thanks

    TPMS for aftermarket wheels

I am replacing the stock 17" wheels on my 04 SR5 with a set of 18x9 wheels. I will be installing 285/65x18 tires. Is it common practice to reuse the factory installed Tire Pressure Monitoring System devices for use in the new wheels? If not; what are my options. Thanks

Will the T4R TPMS fit in stock FJ Wheels

So, going along with that question, does this apply to any aftermarket wheel? If moving from the stock 17" wheels to something like 18" Fuel Hostage wheels, can the stock TPMS be utilized?

    Leather install update-

Thanks for the info Venom. I am wanting to lift my truck and add some wheels and tires "without" using spacers if I can get away with it. I had a friend running -6 offset and he ended up having to use spacers anyway. I am assuming -4.5 is getting the tire further from the truck so maybe the 1.5...

    Leather install update-

Can you share, what is the right back spacing? I like the look and would love to know.
