Installed a factory altimeter / inclinometer and then realized I live at sea level and in an area that is as flat as a pancake so I guess I will never know if it works.

It is amazing how many won't even utilize a shop vac. before posting a vehicle for sale. The two most abused phrases in the auto sale business is ....mint condition except for ...... and southern truck .... no rust ( like vehicles don't rust in the hot humid south.

For me it was difficult to find a good 1st generation 4Runner in the first place and of the few I saw none were in the $2,000.00 to $3,000.00 range. ( at least not within a reasonable distance from home )

I am a fairly new 4Runner owner ( 1987 ) and do not want to hijack the thread however I do have a question. As far as pricing a 1st generation 4Runner, do modifications such as lift, wheel arch extensions, modified roof and bumpers etc. make it more desirable than one that is "all original"?

The next engine ( if I should need one ) will be a 3B.

Goodyear P235 / 75R15 ( 5 speed manual ) and I drive at speeds my grandmother would have considered conservative.

I am a fairly new owner of a 1987 4Runner ( 22RE ) and seem to be averaging approximately 22 mpg on a mixture of city and highway driving. Are these fuel numbers in line with what others are experiencing? Thanks ......

Put on your leisure suit and pop a Bee Gee's casette in the tape deck and that interior will start looking a lot better. Good luck with the sell.....
